In conjunction with the 66th Anniversary of the Fire and Rescue Department; as well as in commemoration of the Prisons Department's 72nd anniversary, the Fire and Rescue Department and the Prisons Department, held a Reading of Surah Yassin and Tahlil Ceremony for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim. The ceremony took place at the Royal Mausoleum, 31st March afternoon.

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs. The ceremony was attended by 150 personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department, along with 100 officers from the Prisons Department.  The ceremony reflected the commitment of the Fire and Rescue Department and the Prisons Department in strengthening the spirit of togetherness among the department's staff and officers. Also present were Members of the Legislative Council.
